A deep feeling in me

I didn’t know I loved the sea
The emerald-blue water
Cold waves passing by
As I stand in the sea

I didn’t know I loved melody
The music
The songs
That I heard or sang
The happiness I felt
With every note
That left my lips
Rang in my ears

I didn’t know I loved the sky
The open endless blue
White, puffy clouds with soft feeling
Let me have wings
To enjoy the wonders of the air
Even more

I didn’t know I loved my bicycle
Each gear turning
As I sail down the road
Soft, cooling wind brushes against
My cheek as I feel welcome
The thrill of the ride
I could go on
Forever

I didn’t know I loved to sleep
Freedom from all my troubles
My own world waiting for me
To continue my adventures
The warmth of the darkness enveloping me
Until the light wakes me
From my sanctuary of dreams

I didn’t know I loved to swing
Closer to the sky and open
The air clear and clean
How many times
I wish
That I had the ability
To fly
Off into the wind

I didn’t know I loved nature
Deep green as thee base part of every plant
The strong trees nearby
To give a welcoming hug
And the beauty of each plant
Different beauties for each green
As their roots reach deep
In  the Earth
For life

I didn’t  know I loved Life
The one chance we all have
Keep living, to experience the wonder
And embrace the death that comes to greet us
But best to live long
Let death come naturally
Have the bringer of end welcome you
When you are truly, truly ready
To let go
